Game backend Egg · Powered by Nakama

Multiplayer backend,
without the per-player bill.

Deploy a managed realtime backend as an Egg. Matchmaking, rooms, presence, storage and server-side logic, from our image, with unmetered egress and no per-concurrent-user tax.

Why Ruust for multiplayer

The costs that sink a multiplayer launch, removed.

Egress

Unmetered bandwidth

Realtime state sync is pure egress, and every other backend meters it, often per concurrent player. On Ruust it is unmetered on every tier, so a 10,000-player weekend costs the same per Egg as a quiet Tuesday. No overage, no surprise invoice.

Batteries

A backend, not a blank box

Nakama gives you matchmaking, realtime rooms and chat, presence, leaderboards, storage and server-side RPCs out of the box. It runs from our image, so there is nothing to build: choose the type and it hatches ready to connect.

Price

Flat price, no per-CCU tax

Photon and PlayFab bill by concurrent user, so success is a tax. A game backend is a flat monthly GBP price for the Egg; pack as many players into it as it will hold, and scale up a size when you need to, not when you get popular.

Yours

Your instance, your data

A dedicated Nakama instance with its own private Postgres Egg, laid and wired for you, not a slice of a shared cloud. Your matches, accounts and storage live in your Coop, in the region you pick, close to your players.

From nothing to connected

Ship your game, not your ops.

01

Choose Game backend

No repo, no build. Pick the Game backend type, a region and a size, the same way you lay a database.

02

We lay the stack

Ruust hatches a Nakama backend and a private Postgres Egg alongside it, peered on your Coop network and wired together automatically.

03

It comes up on HTTPS

The backend serves its API and realtime socket at your platform domain, with an automatic TLS certificate. The admin console is there too.

04

Connect a client

Point a Nakama SDK (Unity, Godot, Unreal, JavaScript, C#) at https://your-egg and open a socket over wss. Egress is unmetered as your game grows.

Managed, and yours

Deploy from our image, connect from any engine.

Deploy from our image

Managed · no build

Like laying a database

The backend and its Postgres run from our own images, patched and operated by us. You pick a region and a size; we handle the schema migration, TLS and the wiring. No Dockerfile, no server to maintain.

Connect with an SDK

HTTPS + WSS

Any engine

Official Nakama SDKs for Unity, Godot, Unreal, JavaScript/TypeScript and C# talk to your Egg over HTTPS and a secure WebSocket. Authentication, matchmaking and realtime messages, all against your own instance.
